About Perry Hwy Garden Farms
Certified California Grown
What we do?
Garden Highways Gardens (GHG) has been an institution in Natomas since the 1970s. In addition to the seasonally-operated roadside stand, the GHG also participates in up to ten farmers’ markets each week during the harvest season.
The produce business opens near July 1 and may be open up to Thanksgiving, depending upon the weather. Products include a wide variety of seasonal fruits and vegetables, including corn, tomatoes (slicing and canning), peppers (mild, hot, and sweet), summer squashes, cucumbers, eggplant, peaches, nectarines, plums, grapes, melons (watermelon, cantaloupe, Casaba, honeydew, summer delight). Later in the year, products also include popcorn, walnuts, pomegranates, and a wide variety of winter squashes.
Perrys’ Pumpkin Acres is open for the month of October, and pumpkins and fall are the emphasis. Many varieties of pumpkins, gourds, and fall decorative items are available, e.g., corn stalks and hay bales. During October, Pumpkin Acres also offers a hay bale maze, a hay ride, and a corn maze.
While a large part of the business is retail, with only a few exceptions, all products are also available for wholesale purchase.
